ITEM#-004:Watchmaker's Swan

Stabilization Status: TUTUS (Safe)
Security Clearance: LEVEL 2 / LOOMMASTER DIRECTIVE ONLY
Facility Placement: Level 1: The Weft (Loom-04 Small Artifact Grid Vault 03)

Stabilization Criteria

ITEM#-004 is to be kept completely resting inside a soundproofed, vibration-dampened display box lined with soft acoustic foam. The container must remain located within Loom-04’s small artifact wings, completely isolated from any open microphones, audio tracking sensors, or micro-barometric meters.

Personnel handling the item must wear heavy fabric noise-canceling headsets to block out localized acoustic frequencies. No testing logs or notes may be physically scrawled or compiled within a three (3) meter radius of the object outside of shielded diagnostic chambers to prevent structural memory loops.

Description

ITEM#-004 (The Watchmaker's Swan): A small, traditional origami swan figure measuring approximately 12 centimeters in length, folded entirely from a single sheet of heavy, unlined cream-colored pulp paper. While the physical material exhibits normal chemical degradation properties consistent with mid-20th-century paper processing, the item's internal paper folds cannot be disassembled, unfolded, or damaged by extreme heat exposure or physical blades. The item's primary anomaly manifests as a continuous, micro-acoustic ticking hum radiating directly from the center fibers of the folded paper chest. This sound waves entirely bypasses standard physical laws, emitting a rhythmic, mechanical clockwork frequency that perfectly mimics a high-grade pocket watch despite the absolute absence of internal metallic gears, springs, or battery grids.

The ticking rhythm acts as a localized timeline anchor that directly synchronizes itself to the neural frequencies of any nearby human observer. The dark symbolic past of the item tracks back to the workshop of a master clockmaker who vanished completely from his estate on August 1st, 2004. If a human subject sits within a 3-meter radius of the swan and listens to the mechanical ticking for longer than 90 seconds, they are forced into a state of total physical paralysis known as the Continuous Regret Loop. The observer's consciousness is forcefully drawn inward, forcing them to mentally relive the single worst life choice, mistake, or personal regret of their past over and over in an inescapable cognitive time loop while their physical heartbeat drops to match the slowing rhythm of the paper cogs.
