ITEM#-015: The Door to Nowhere
Stabilization Criteria
ITEM#-015 must remain permanently locked and secured within its original limestone archway structure at Sector-9. The heavy iron locking bar mechanism spanning the top vertical axis of the doors must be reinforced with modern magnetic compression clamps to prevent structural vibrations from shifting the latch.
Under no circumstances are personnel permitted to unbolt the center iron latch or separate the dual wooden panels. A strict 5-meter exclusion zone is enforced around the limestone threshold due to severe local atmospheric drop hazards if a seal breach occurs.
Description
ITEM#-015 (The Door to Nowhere): A massive, dual-panel arched double door constructed from dense, aged dark oak wood. The panels are divided into a grid-like pattern of recessed rectangular squares and are supported by heavy, black iron strap hinges anchored directly into a pointed gothic stone archway.
The unit features two distinct vintage security mechanisms: a long vertical iron drop-bolt tracking along the center seam, and a smaller horizontal latch assembly near the midpoint. Despite decades of exposure, the wood shows no signs of rot, and the iron hardware remains completely free of oxidation or structural decay.
The anomalous properties of ITEM#-015 activate the moment the dual panels are swung outward. The space beyond the physical wooden threshold does not lead to the building or open space behind the stone arch. Instead, it exposes an absolute, localized region of void. Testing confirms a total absence of matter, light waves, and atmospheric pressure beyond the frame, resulting in an immediate vacuum suction effect if the door is cracked open even slightly.
